Torana, a London-based startup established in 2021, originated as an innovative response to the challenges faced by the life and medical insurance sector.
Our team of industry professionals across underwriting and broking have first-hand experience of the poor customer outcomes caused by legacy processes. We understand the significant financial cost to the industry in requesting and processing insurance policies for millions of people across the UK.

Founder
Alexander has spent over a decade in the insurance industry both as an underwriter at global insurer Allianz, and in broking with his own firm, Sioma. He is a Chartered Insurance Broker and winner of the 2022 British Insurance Brokers’ Association, Young Broker of the Year Award.

Founder
Zac forged a successful career in financial advice and private medical insurance with a top 100 wealth management advisory firm. He is currently also Managing Director of Vintage Health and an IFA specialising in high value life insurance.

Sam was formerly Director of Digital Development for the NHS where he was involved in national digital transformation programmes. With a wealth of experience in primary healthcare, together with public and digital healthcare, Sam brings a deep level of regulatory expertise to the team.
